Switching to a 7800x3D model, but concerned about heat management.
I'm switching to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and checking if your existing cooling solution can handle the heat from demanding tasks like video rendering. Your current setup includes the Noctua NHD15 cooler, which is an older model, and a case with solid airflow thanks to its mesh front panel. Your Ryzen 5 5600X stays under 60-65°C during heavy use, so you're in a good range. For the 7800X3D, it should comfortably stay below 85°C with your current configuration. If you notice temperatures rising, consider upgrading to a cooler rated for higher performance or switching to a more efficient model.
The NHD15 should adequately cool a 7800X3D when properly installed.
Cooling works well; the chips stay cool (compared to others). They remain secure and avoid overheating during high demand. Everything is ready.
NH-D15 provides ample cooling for the 7800X3D. My setup uses a 7700X with a 15w reduction, and keeping the fan at 27% ensures it stays cool even during intense gaming sessions.
