You mean exchanging one drive for another securely. If you need to replace a hard drive, simply format it so you can use it again.

Duplicate the old hard drive onto the new one. If you wish to proceed with payment, Acronis is suggested for cloning hard drives.

When it comes to WD drives, Acronis offers a free trial version, though cloning still functions. If that option isn't available, numerous alternative free cloning tools exist.

Clonezilla is the tool I use for backups, and I've tried it despite its limitations since I want reliable recovery options and fresh installations.
