Switching between Mint and Manjaro KDE distributions
You're about to switch from Mint to Manjaro KDE. Make sure you're aware of any major driver problems or bugs that could affect your setup.
PC Specifications: CPU - Ryzen 7 1700, MSI B350M Gaming Pro RAM, G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 16GB DDR4, 3200MHz Storage, Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD, WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM, Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM GPU, EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB VRAM, Corsair TXM Gold 550W 80+ Power Supply Unit.
The main problem I've faced has been with wireless drivers. Are you connected via Ethernet or using Wi-Fi? What about Bluetooth? Do you require any specific software for Manjaro? All this along with other driver issues can impact driver stability or availability.
I’m connected via a wired link, but I rely on Bluetooth occasionally for a controller. The software side looks good—mostly dual-booting Windows 10 for VR and some Adobe tools for school.
I configured MX and Manjaro inside separate subfolders; as long as each has its own /home directory, everything works fine. Just one should handle /boot, nothing else required.
