I know the title seems a bit stupid but this is a behavior ive reproduced even after a fresh windows install, and frankly im baffled. My specs: Asrock steel legend x570 5800x 2x 16 gb ddr 4 3600 cl 16 Sata : 2tb firecuda hdd, 2tb hdd forgot the brand, 1 crucial 1 tb ssd Nvme : primary boot gigabyte aorus gen 4 1 tb 7000s 1 adata 8200x 1 tb gen 3 sitting in a silverstone adapter in an expansion slot1 1corsair mp600 500 gig gen 4 on the m2 mobo slot The problem when i use disk management tool to format the mp600 the audio randomly keeps switching every second between the realtec onboard audio and my headphones. After formatting and ignoring the problem, i merged the mp600 and the adata into 1 partition , copier over some files tried installing some stuff stored on this new partition onto this new partition , instant hardreset. Tried this once more to replicate the problem, instant hard reset sgain. I assumed this was a windows/software issue so i reinstalled windows snd i had the exact same problems. My working theory is that ive overloaded the x570 chipset with too many storgage devices. Any theories are welcome
I established an offset curve of -19 across all cores and adjusted the TDP to 135 for improved cooling performance. I’m using liquid freezer 2 360 with my CPU in push-pull configuration; I understand it’s not ideal, but those extra Noctua fans were gathering dust. During a cinebench test, temperatures stayed around 77–80°C. The system has been running steadily for some time now, and it’s stable. Problems began a few days ago when I swapped my Windows from the Gen 4 Corsair drive to a newer Gigabyte 7000 series Aorus Gen 4 1 TB drive, moving the Corsair MP600 to the lower M2 slot connected to the motherboard chipset. The southbridge temperatures have remained consistent, hovering between 65–70°C.
