I had noticed the issue with my FPS in games like Elden Ring and Diablo 4, where the performance stayed at 1440p but I experienced noticeable coil whine. After replacing my power supply, the problem persisted, causing my PC to crash repeatedly and requiring a power cycle. Now I’m unsure if the fix was enough or if another solution is needed.
Are you verifying the temperatures or looking for a BIOS update for that device?
I've been monitoring the temperatures, noting readings of 95-98°C on the hotspot and 80-85°C on the GPU. I haven't updated the BIOS yet; I'll attempt that and follow up soon.
The GPU shouldn't be reaching 90 degrees easily, is the room climate-controlled?
I'm going to try adjusting the fan curve for a higher performance setting. So far, about 35 minutes of playing rocket league uncapped fps without any GPU issues. It seems to have resolved the problem.
