ASROCK A520M 5800X RX550 with 32GB RAM – Quick summary: No signal on the monitor after installing the new motherboard. Displays work fine for fans and RGB, but GPU fans aren’t running. No error lights appear, power LED on GPU is working, and I’ve tested various ports. Need advice! Thanks!
The latest bios should already accommodate the 5000 series, as it's a newly acquired board. However, I might have to reinstall the previous CPU and verify certain settings.
Sometimes the boards are stored in a warehouse for an extended period. That's usually the initial thought that comes to mind.
I would rearrange all parts and power wires, double-checking that the cables are secure and properly connected (main 24, 8-pin EPS, PCI cables, etc.). Also test one RAM stick at a time. The fans not spinning could simply indicate the GPU is in zero RPM mode during low temperatures or idle.
Agreed, I'll swap the RAM and test with a single stick, then proceed.
The GPU fans not spinning could simply indicate the card is in zero RPM mode during low temperatures or idle. I thought this might apply to my main system... Could be useful info.
I recorded the Bios version earlier, around 1.2. That doesn’t seem to be the problem.
This motherboard is brand new and the CPU is also brand new. I wonder how you recorded the BIOS version if you don’t mind me asking.
