I switched from a 3800x to a 5700x3d resolution and noticed frequent stuttering or jitter during gameplay or general use. It feels like the PC would briefly lag. I ran Revo Uninstaller to remove chipset drivers and reinstalled them, and I’m on the latest BIOS update (f40d). I’m unsure if a fresh Windows 11 installation is necessary. My specs are: CPU 5700x3d, MOBO Gigabyte X570, 2×16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB at 3600MHz, GTX 1080TI STRIX, and CX750M power supply.

I don't have a specific number, but I can help you determine how many RAM sticks you're using if you provide the details.

If there were four sticks, I’d think it might point to a problem with the IMC in the CPU since Ryzen usually doesn’t mesh well with Corsair Vengeance. Considering how unstable Windows can be, I’d go ahead and reinstall it.

Your current Windows setup is optimized for Zen 2, but it won't work properly with your 57X3D. Expect issues with performance, power management, and features like boost. A fresh installation should significantly improve everything.

You've just updated Windows and reinstalled drivers, yet the problem persists. What could be causing it?

Reset the CMOS, restart the system, enter BIOS settings, repeatedly delete entries until prompted or proceed directly. Reconfigure your BIOS settings, save changes, restart again, then move to Windows and continue from there. Whenever you modify components—particularly the CPU—ensure a proper CMOS reset for smooth operation. It might function without the reset initially, but it often requires numerous power cycles for correct initialization. Extremely frustrating.

Consider restarting the installation once more. The previous update caused issues, and now gaming feels extremely slow and unstable.
