I aim to transfer my C drive to the new SSD I purchased and have cloned it there. However, when I try to boot, it prompts me to choose a different drive and restart. Anyone know how to fix this? Also, why isn't it working? If the program I used for cloning was simple, it should have been straightforward.

Perform a fresh installation on the SSD. Avoid shutting down HDDs while connecting to the SSD.

Disconnect the HDD, apply the operating system to the SSD, reconnect everything and restore the boot sequence to the SSD.

Make sure to power off the PC before connecting or disconnecting any drives. Avoid damaging the drives by doing this properly, right?

Remove the HDD.... Just connect the SSD and boot... After starting, connect the HDD... and form a complete setup.
