Switch partitions in Linux? (Mortal Online 2)
Last week was a bit unclear about the date. I enjoyed playing Mortal Online 2, but recently the kernel forced me out of MO2 due to a memory issue. On the MNJro forum they suggested I make a backup, though I have 16 GB of storage. The MO2 version is required, and I’ve played it on Linux before.
You can also create a swap file instead of dealing with partitions. How much RAM are you using? If you're nearing 16GB, it's becoming common to start relying on swap space now.
It varies by browser and background load time. Today it's less important without a swap file, though certain scenarios can still help. Around 16GB works fine, but since browsers consume a lot of RAM, the exact amount doesn't really matter regardless of your system. For you, I recommend starting with 8GB, but that might be too much.
The kernel starts an OOM kill immediately. Your memory consumption during this event is significant. A page file is recommended.
He mentioned having 16GB of RAM, but I understand how much memory is actually being used.
