I have my Netgear Nighthawk installed upstairs, right next to my main PC. I use a tp link Wi-Fi extender to reach the downstairs area since the house is three floors high. The extender copies my main router’s SSID and password, but my phone keeps connecting only to the weakest signal—about one bar until I switch it on and off. Can I fix this issue?

Discussing WiFi roaming means navigating a complex landscape. The IEEE officially defines three distinct standards for roaming. While each has advantages and disadvantages, all devices must adhere to the same protocol. Choosing a standard ensures compatibility across networks. Most users prefer sticking to the same access points within their area. Still, some gadgets struggle with seamless switching. I’ve noticed Windows tends to have issues when moving between access points. It’s just part of how these systems function.
