Swiftech H240-X Prestige mods
Hey everyone! I haven't bought this yet, but I was thinking about swapping the tubing and adding a GPU block to the loop. The model I'm talking about is the Swiftech H240-X Prestige. I currently own a Corsair H100i GTX, but I want to upgrade with more blocks without overspending on EK. If anyone has any concerns or suggestions for sticking with the H100i GTX, please let me know!
I also have an i7 4790k running at stock speed, and I plan to overclock it to 4.4 (keep that in mind). I also have two Asus Strix GTX 970s at stock clockspeed. My case is an NZXT H440.
If I decide to switch the tubing to glass, I'll need some fittings—any recommendations? The water cooler uses Ultra Clear Mayhems tubing. I could buy tubing from Swiftechs site and handle the water blocks myself. Thanks a lot!
for every water cooling solution? since the H240X costs around $250, and each GPU block adds about $150
I tried setting up a complete water cooling system and it totaled $820.05
What kind of budget are you considering?
It seems like around 250 to 300 USD would be suitable.
Well then, it seems best to maintain the Corsair. I understand the stock coolers in the Asus Strix lineup are decent. I think I'll continue using them.
What budget are you considering? It seems like around 250 to 300 USD. Do you think that amount should include all components, such as the GPU water blocks and radiators?
I don't think you grasped my point clearly. The Corsair H100i GTX is an excellent cooler, and I spent a significant amount on it. I plan to retain that. I won't expand it further.
Regarding the Asus Strix GTX 970, both models feature Direct CU 2 cooling, which is characteristic of the Strix series. I'll keep those. I apologize if this caused any confusion.
