I noticed you attempted to adjust the output settings in the NB configuration. Consider turning off the onboard GPU completely. This was necessary for my 7700x since it interfered with the 4080.
Honestly, the 5600G won't offer much improvement over the 3600 and isn't worth the effort. The G models sacrifice performance compared to non-G versions since some cores are set aside for the iGPU, and turning it off doesn't free them up much. A regular 5600 would have been a superior upgrade. Just pointing out if you can afford the price gap, you'd prefer a non-G model. Are you asking about turning off the onboard GPU in BIOS? There may be another area to adjust for that. In the current setup, you can only choose which GPU to use.
I received the 5600g at a low price, which gave me the chance to give my dad a fresh motherboard and CPU since he’s playing games on old hardware. My aim is to get this chip running smoothly in his system without spending more money. A slight improvement in performance isn’t too much of an issue for me.
Everyone usually has an option for AUTO, IGPU and GPU. The GPU should be able to handle whatever you need it to do.
It keeps repeating the same actions even after adjusting the configuration. When I connect the GPU with the BIOS set to GPU output, it stays active until the Windows loading indicator appears, after which the monitor loses signal. Once signed in, I can turn off the system without a display, yet Windows still seems to load. Restarting helps if I reinsert the HDMI into the motherboard, but switching the cable right after booting doesn’t resolve the issue. This suggests a potential Windows or settings problem causing the persistent loading.
