Consider upgrading to a more powerful motherboard like the B550 or X570. Your current setup with a Ryzen 3700X and 2060 Super suggests you need better performance for multitasking and future upgrades. Since your dad relies on his PC for work, stability and speed are key.

I recommend the B550 for its price. Choose a B550 Mortar or B550 Mortar WiFi based on your requirements.

Your old motherboard functioned like a micro ATX. When choosing an ATX board, confirm compatibility with your case.

wait so the board is damaged or what? if it was. budget for a board? if it wasn't damaged, the b450m bazooka should power a 3700x just fine, and you don't really need to upgrade it.

With the CM NR400, I need to keep the motherboard in place. The RAM slot is broken, so I’m replacing it.

For the board itself, it doesn't matter much. Both B550m and B550m TUF are solid choices for a MATX setup.
