Hi, I purchased a Crucial P5 Plus NVME 500GB and am switching it in as the new boot drive. I’m still using a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB. I need to do this without reinstalling Windows. How can I proceed? Thanks!

A utility is available to duplicate the drive. It’s straightforward, though you might need to adjust the UEFI settings in the BIOS afterward if you plan to reuse it. While there are free or trial options, I find it hard to suggest one specific tool since Windows (7) backup functions can usually handle the task.

I just tried this tool myself to replace SSDs, and it functions well. I upgraded from an NVMe 950 Pro to an NVMe 980 Pro.
