You can keep your current BIOS settings if you choose. Flashing the new BIOS doesn’t require deleting the old one unless you specifically want to replace it. Just ensure the installation process completes successfully.

You shouldn't have to delete anything, flashing is a sort of rewrite essentially(complicated but a simple way of putting it). Is there a reason you need to flash the board?

However, my specific model was made before the BIOS upgrade that allowed its use. The packaging doesn't mention Ryzen 5000 series readiness—just third generation compatibility. I'm planning to proceed regardless.
