Visit the services section and locate wuauserv (confirm your spelling). Halt the service and it should resolve the issue. Per Google, it's linked to a Windows Update bug.
In the Detail section of the Task manager, click the header and choose "Select columns." A panel will appear; select Command Line, check the box, and click OK. A new column will appear displaying the command line and its arguments. This helps identify which svchost.exe is active and what it’s doing. Look for svchost.exe with high CPU usage and examine its command line. Tip: Press Ctrl+C to copy the text of each column, making it easy to paste.
