The PC's CPU usage is unusually high, especially with SVCHOST always using around half of it. The issue seems to reset when the process ends. It might be related to background tasks or drivers. Check for resource hogs or outdated software.

Visit the services section and locate wuauserv (confirm your spelling). Halt the service and it should resolve the issue. Per Google, it's linked to a Windows Update bug.

In the Detail section of the Task manager, click the header and choose "Select columns." A panel will appear; select Command Line, check the box, and click OK. A new column will appear displaying the command line and its arguments. This helps identify which svchost.exe is active and what it’s doing. Look for svchost.exe with high CPU usage and examine its command line. Tip: Press Ctrl+C to copy the text of each column, making it easy to paste.

This might relate to various system components such as network drivers, service management, IP helper, or user access features. Checking each service individually can help identify the exact cause and improve performance.
