I've been playing Ark for a week, and everything seemed okay until yesterday. I'm not sure what's causing the issue, but I've consistently seen 35-45 fps regardless of my settings. Whenever I turn on the game, it drops to just 5 fps. I own a 5820k,980ti system with 8GB RAM, though I'm not sure if that matters. I also moved the game to an SSD recently. The game keeps crashing too. Updated: November 7, 2016 by caim1231

The choice between SSD and HDD doesn't affect performance. Your temperatures during gameplay remain consistent. Core speeds while playing stay stable. Use NZXT Cam to monitor in-game temperatures as they run.

While using it, why does my GPU only operate at 35-40% instead of full capacity? Is V-SYNC or FPS locking active?

I verified, and there isn't anything similar available.

Are you sure your system is fully optimized? There’s nothing stopping your CPU from reaching maximum performance while playing, especially if FPS locking isn’t turned on.

The NZXT CAM is not active during the game; if it's off, it could indicate a RAM issue.
