Survey on desktop operating system versions
Here are some different ways to phrase your message:
- I had several operating systems installed on my PCs: Windows 7, Linux Mint 17.3, Vista, and XP.
- My previous setup included 8.1 and 10, but both faced many problems, so I switched to a Windows 7 license.
- I used to run 10 on my PCs, but they had lots of issues, which led me to buy a Windows 7 key.
- I didn’t like the Store apps, even if I had access to older versions like 8.1 or 10.
I thought about using the Windows Store if they resolved their issue with using drives other than Local Disk C: and didn’t generate a huge number of folders on those drives. The Windows App Store seems worse than Skype, which I dislike because Microsoft acquired it, so that reflects my opinion.
It's interesting to see such a choice from Microsoft. Picture a world where Steam restricted game installations to SSDs only—like a strict rule. Or if developers had to embed installation code for SSDs in every game. Curious about what you think? Feel free to share an app link—I'll try it out immediately.
Great app! It works well on my external drive but doesn’t install on my dual-drive pool array using StableBit DrivePool... This is similar to what I’ve experienced with other apps, indicating the Windows Store may have compatibility issues with third-party file system drivers. Ugh.
I prefer Windows 10 despite making it resemble Windows 7 closely, including customizing the key settings for the old photo viewer. I really enjoy Windows, especially XP and 7, but I dislike when they attempt to activate it on tablets or phones. My desktop and start menu feel just like they used to. I've only used the Windows Store once—just to install the Skype Preview app, which finally lets me set a dark theme and black background. Most other apps I haven’t touched, and I’ve removed most of them, even disabling the Xbox DVR feature via the key settings. As long as my desktop stays clean and simple, I’m happy: Spoiler.
still using version 10 but prefer working with version 7—haven’t taken the effort to reinstall properly yet :c
Avoid this by locating the apps, shifting them, and swapping the directory in the original spot with a symbolic link.
