Survey on CPU types
Survey on CPU types
I'm curious about the CPU models used in top gaming setups. I've noticed most systems run 4 cores with speeds between 3.3 and 3.6 GHz. The Steams hardware survey mentioned this range, but it doesn't give a comprehensive overview. Over the past decade, Intel CPUs haven't been widely surveyed in that specific way. If you'd like more details, I can help draft a poll for others to share their insights.
I've been using my Intel machine for nearly a decade and have upgraded to the 3700x now. A poll is available if you'd like, though I'm uncertain about the options you can choose from.
iam actually in the same situation and thats why i got curious. i was thinking about the same but if there was one available with a data pool size of steam hardware survive that would be awesome. I fear this forum doesnt really represent mainstream but still better than nothing.
It's unclear what everyone is doing right now, but the Ryzen 5 3600 is likely the top seller today. It offers great performance for gaming at a reasonable cost.
I'm really focusing on this right now. The 10700k is priced at 510 dollars, while the 10700kf comes in at 472 dollars. Those 38 dollars feel significant in my country. In Israel, building a PC is quite costly—extremely expensive. That's why it's such a big deal when you can get a 10900k setup for around that price. It would let me run a Vision G 2080 Aorus with 10 GB RAM and even a Z490 Maximus XIII Apex... it's a huge step forward.
