Hey everyone, I've encountered a problem with my surround sound setup on the ASUS X570 Dark Hero. The rear speakers, center, and subwoofer aren't communicating through the motherboard. When testing the rear left or right channels separately, the audio appears to come from the front left or front right speakers. The center channel seems to be routed through both front channels. The subwoofer is almost undetectable and seems to be trying to pass through the front speakers. I've reinstalled the drivers, adjusted the speaker settings to 5.1 surround, cleared CMOS, powered down the PC completely, unplugged it from the wall, and waited five minutes for capacitors to discharge. Despite these efforts, I'm left with no solution and suspect a hardware issue on the motherboard. I already have a replacement plan from the retailer I bought it from. The system uses a Logitech Z606 5.1 surround setup with three 3.5mm to RCA jacks properly set up for each channel. If you need more details, here are the specs: CPU – AMD R9 5950X, Cooler – Noctua NH-D15, RAM – Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-3600, CL18 (four 8GB modules), Storage – 1TB Samsung 970 EVO SSD, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD, two 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue HDDs, GPU – ASUS TUF Gaming RX 6900XT, PSU – EVGA P2 1600W, OS – Windows 11 22H2, OS Build 22621.963, Audio driver – Realtek 6.0.9359.1.

I finally understood why it wasn't functioning properly. It seems I spent a long time trying to fix it. Thanks to Microsoft for setting this as the default effect. Once I turned it off, the channels worked again and the problem was resolved. I hope this assists others facing similar issues.
