I changed my SSD in the Surface Pro 9 to a SABRENT Rocket Q4 2230 NVMe 4.0 2TB for more space. After the upgrade, waking up from sleep causes noticeable slowdowns—system feels sluggish, sometimes stalls briefly, other times lingers for minutes. A full restart fixes it. Since Surface Pro supports BitLocker by default, I tried disabling it but it didn’t help. Are there any adjustments to sleep settings or other tips that could prevent this issue? Thanks!

There have been similar problems since Windows 7, such as power settings and Trim being disabled. It might help to adjust the power settings or ensure Trim is turned on. Good luck!

I realized the fix was different than I thought. A Reddit user recommended pressing Win+Crtl+Shift+B to resolve lag, which helped. I also used DDU to reset the Intel graphics driver, and Windows Update reinstalled it successfully, eliminating further problems.
