Hello! I'm trying to assist with moving C: files onto a hard drive since the person is locked out of Windows 10. I found a video suggesting using Kali Linux to retrieve the files. Could you confirm if that approach would work? Thanks, Josh.

It's typical to use Linux on a USB rescue drive, and if the device isn't encrypted, it should function properly.
