Occasionally we act like humans, don't we? At times we’re not as careful as we wish, and we might grab items from Amazon just because they have high ratings without checking the reviews. I purchased this product here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X46...UTF8&psc=1. Some users claim it could damage your whole system, especially with a PCI-E card. I’m worried about plugging it in... someone help me.
Someone is warning you about a potential risk to your computer. In reality, any faulty hardware could damage other components. This is the first time I've heard anyone suggest a Wi-Fi card as a typical cause. We rarely hear complaints about PCI_e devices causing issues. More often, the power supply unit is blamed.
I've never come across a PCI-e device causing a computer to fail. A faulty power supply is typically the reason systems stop working.
This experience really helps ease my concerns. Regarding the source, I’ll just mention one review: "Verified Purchase Installed this little card and it INSTANTLY FRIED the motherboard when I turned the PC back on. No sparks or smoke, but the motherboard is now completely dead. It won’t even try to start." I’ll definitely read reviews more carefully before buying again.
It was too late, folks. Probably the reviewer didn’t understand.
Hey, seriously, don’t expect anything better. Most of the bad feedback just focuses on not having a CD for the driver, and some folks are still stuck in 2008. The only real issue I noticed was the extra hassle of connecting Bluetooth via a USB header, but since I have plenty of those, it’s not a big deal. Hopefully, others won’t face the same problems.

got pretty close to fixing it. the wifi card worked fine, but after playing any game for over a minute I kept seeing the tcips.sys error. i took it out, reinstalled windows, and still got the blue screen. after a day of troubleshooting, i realized it wasn’t the video drivers—it was the ram. I reinserted the ram and it fixed the bsod, but the games still crashed. i had to lower the xmp speed and it’s been working well so far. if this keeps happening, i might even try fixing it myself.
