I recently installed a new computer with an xfx 6600, an 10400f, and an msi b560i mini itx motherboard. Initially, the system booted normally in BIOS without Windows installed. Since I hadn’t set up a desktop yet, I adjusted the BIOS settings and ensured a specific USB drive was present. After that, I couldn’t access the BIOS but the machine powered on with a small indicator, like a hyphen in the top-left corner. I managed to enter the boot menu using F11, but decided to reset the BIOS by shorting the jumper pins with a screwdriver. Once reset, the monitor displayed an HDMI signal but was black with a faint light, and the VGA debug light was active. I attempted to remove and reinsert the CMOS battery, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Should I consider replacing the motherboard?
