You should consider upgrading your new laptop from Intel Core i3 to an AMD A8 Quad Core. Your old laptop has a better CPU, so replacing it would improve performance.

They don’t offer new laptops with CPUs that are inferior to an AMD A8. Most laptop CPUs are permanently attached to the motherboard now and can’t be replaced. Even without that rule, you can’t interchange Intel or AMD chips (except maybe in the past when Socket 7 was popular).

I3 and A8 refer to AMD’s mobile processors released around 2012. These chips were part of AMD’s effort to compete with Intel in the budget mobile market, though they didn’t match Intel’s performance or efficiency.
