Last week on Monday my computer suddenly stopped and the CPU debug light activated. I attempted to troubleshoot it, but the light stayed on. I received an AMD RMA and returned the CPU today. After reinstalling it, the issue reoccurred after the PC was on for about five minutes. Someone, could you assist me?

I'm here to help you figure out what's going on with your computer. Could you share more about the issue you're experiencing? That way I can better understand and guide you through the steps.

Ryzen 5 3600, MSI mortar Max board, MSI Ventus 2070, Corsair 550w power supply. My system was running normally until the fans accelerated and the display went dark. The CPU debug indicator lit up. I reset the BIOS but got no improvement. Received an RMA for the CPU and received a replacement. Installed it on the motherboard, but the issue repeated within five minutes.

It seems like a motherboard might be the issue if you swapped out the CPU. Try using just one RAM stick and test them in various slots. My guess is the motherboard needs replacing.

I don't feel the need to check MSI or anything else. Is your motherboard possibly affecting your CPU, or would a new board fix the issue?

it would likely be fine, but check every part you can before you buy a new one or return it.

It's normal, things can get hectic and you're juggling lots at once. I understand why you'd think it's a motherboard problem.

Verify your power connections on the PSU and motherboard for the CPU; they might be loose.

Thank you all very much. I'll reach out to MSI tomorrow to find out the timeline.

Hello Again. Could you give a percentage chance on whether the motherboard could actually have broken the cpu
