These are Molex connectors. Your fans run directly from the power supply, not through the motherboard.

It's a Molex connector. The PSU is needed to drive the fans. This was typical a long time ago when inexpensive, rough fans were used. It means the fans will operate at a fixed speed, often near their maximum, and they can be quite loud.
