I'm not sure what you're referring to, but it seems the problem might be with your browser as well. Have you tried restarting your computer or checking for any bent pins on the CPU?

My friend, I've never faced any issues for over 150 hours, but then everything changed right after the patch update. Welcome to the group.

Three crashes occurred today plus a DirectX issue in multiplayer games. It looks like something went wrong. We hadn't had any problems in the last two months and were hoping things would be fine. But now we're back to dealing with EA.

Update C++ 2012 to version 4. Uninstall Update 3 from Programs and Features, which includes BF4. Also, access the Catalyst Control Center, adjust 3D application settings, turn off Surface Format Optimization, and lower Texture Filter Quality. I believe disabling crossfire and Surface Format Optimization resolved the crashes, though I received a new card before confirming.

I removed all the RAM one by one, tested my PC to check for damage, and ran it without any issues. Still, it freezes in story mode and sometimes restarts me back to the battle log during gameplay. I haven’t had my CPU out for a long time. My last visit was installing a Nic C5 CPU cooler. I’m not sure how the pins would be affected. This has been a completely new experience for me over the past year—I just moved a CPU from an old socket, it was an Athlon XP 3000+ back in 2004. I gave it to my daughter, and she had it for a while.

These specifications are quite modest. In BF4 it will quickly fill that small 1GB frame buffer on the average HD 5770 and lead to problems. The same applies to most recent titles.

In Origin, the application settings section, within the game interface, should have "Enable Origin in Game" unchecked. If it’s marked, remove the check. It doesn’t seem to be a hardware problem—just ensure your system runs smoothly at lower settings if a few games aren’t working. For optimal RAM performance, consider using a tool like memtest.

I'll check this for you. It appears the setting is within the Origin application itself, not in the game play options.

Exact as I mentioned it was. Starting point, configuration options, and its roots in the game.
