I've never worked with those units before. People say wireless setups can have built-in delays... If you can run a physical cable, using a router in bridge or AP mode would offer smoother performance. Also, lag problems tend to show up most when playing games... they can hurt video streaming and file transfers too. For reaching the bedrooms with kids, it's a simple and affordable fix. But for connecting gaming or work computers, an access point is the better choice.

The PC and router are just 10 meters apart, but the motherboard isn't a Wi-Fi card. Also, someone on YouTube reported positive results with faster file transfers—about three times quicker.

If you believe it's safe to proceed, share your thoughts and results. I'm keen to hear how it performs. @Razor Blade highlights that network requirements vary widely—different setups and options exist. Running a 30-50FT cable might not be feasible, so direct wiring could be an alternative.

I prefer not to persuade you away from something and acknowledge my lack of hands-on experience with that specific item. What I do know comes from recommendations and online information. There are many reliable choices available. For instance, if running a physical network cable isn't feasible, a powerline adapter could work. It leverages your home's electrical wiring to link devices through two wall-mounted connectors.

Do you possess a 1Gb Ethernet connection for other gadgets? If yes, this option might be worth exploring—such as the one listed on Amazon. It comes with higher pricing but promises gigabit performance. Additionally, it offers power over Ethernet so you won’t need to use a separate outlet.
