You're wondering if the devices that joined the airport extreme's Wi-Fi could access the internet when you set it up. Did the captive portal appear, and was there a need to contact IT for permission to allow their network?

I believe there might be an issue with the router setup. There should be a section where you store your logs so the panel doesn't display them... But I’m not sure how to do it. The problem is that the company that installed the Wi-Fi isn’t helping me configure it as I need—it works differently than I want. I’ll definitely ask if they can whitelist my WAN MAC address! Thanks for your help!

You're asking about a configuration page for entering login details. I believe you want a place where you can input your credentials for the captive portal, which appears when connecting to a restricted network. Is that correct?

An ISP typically supplies your apartment with shared internet connectivity rather than private access. They usually provide a standard modem or gateway, not personal devices like consumer routers. Captive portal credentials are managed centrally, and specialized travel routers may offer better performance in some cases.

Ensure IT adds the routers' WAN MAC addresses to the whitelist. This is common for devices that can't use captive portals, such as gaming consoles and IoT equipment.
