Hello, after many years of using laptops, I chose to switch back to desktops since I rarely use the computer outside my home. My goal was to assemble a desktop that suits my preferences completely.
However, I require assistance because the last time I interacted with a computer was 20 years ago... I don’t play games; it’s solely for office work, browsing the web, multimedia, and watching TV.
I have already purchased the necessary components and will include the list here (some items are still pending).

Monitor: HP Omen 34c
(Received two weeks ago online at El Corte Inglés in Spain/Portugal – I’m confident there won’t be any issues.)

Case: Mars Gaming Caixa MC-VISIONM Branca (Micro-ATX) White
Motherboard: Micro-ATX ASRock B650M PG Lightning SktAM5
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000MHz (AMD Expo/Intel XMP) CL36
Storage: SSD M.2 2280 Kingston NV3 500GB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0x4
(ROM memory is minimal – in 10 years I used only 100GB...)
CPU Cooler & Thermal paste: Mars Gaming CPU ML-Ultra240 ARGB Water Cooler & Thermalright TF4 4g
(CPU cooler not yet received)
PSU: ATX Mars Gaming MPIII550PW 550W 80 Plus Bronze Branca
WiFi Card: Mercusys AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Bluetooth 5.2 PCIe
Keyboard, mouse & mousepad: HP 150 USB PT, MSI Forge GM300 RGB 7200DPI & Lenovo Legion Gaming Control Mouse Pad XXL
RGB Fans: 120mm Thermalright TL-C12CW-S 1550RPM ARGB Balance Performance 4 Pins PWM White (Pack of 3)

I was reading a tutorial on computer assembly and believe I’ll also need an internal USB hub for the fans, water cooler, network card, etc. Would you confirm whether this is necessary and if this model is suitable?

Hub USB + PWM Lian Li Edge White
Modular USB HUB WITH PWM FAN HEADERS
This hub provides flexible connectivity options. It can be plugged directly into the PSU or connected via a PCIe power interface inside the case.
It features six 4-pin extended fan headers (2A each) for multi-fan configurations, plus four ports supporting up to eight downstream devices – perfect for RGB controllers and USB peripherals, delivering a total output of 2.5A.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Please note you selected the incorrect PSU for your project.
PSU: ATX Mars Gaming MPIII550PW 550W 80 Plus Bronze Branca
https://marsgaming.eu/en/power-supplies/mpii550
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...pZ...=931697732
Category-E, update it right away, even if you don’t intend to use a discrete GPU later.
Regarding discrete GPUs, if I were you, I’d have considered an APU such as the 8600G rather than the 9600x.
For your build, a motherboard with the wireless adapter pre-installed would be more convenient, avoiding extra parts during installation.
A motherboard inside an ATX case would appear incomplete or empty.
As for construction tips, check this video:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJtfMrwmtZU
Lastly, before purchasing, consider some of the errors in your component choices—I’d have saved the money for something else.

I'll only swap parts if they aren't functioning correctly. I realize I might have made poorer decisions, but I'll only return something as a final option.
The main focus seems to be the PSU, I'll check how it performs and then replace it if needed.
Will all other components work in theory? About the Internal USB Hub, should I purchase that one? Will it fit with the fans, network card, cooler, etc.?
The case is compact and suited for Micro-ATX builds.
I'm also going through this tutorial and translating it into my language—it's a helpful exercise to clarify my tasks, though I expect many questions, particularly about connections.
Thank you very much

Category-E is similar to a PSU that can harm your PC components or even pose a fire risk. You'll also need to update the BIOS on your motherboard before you can use the 9600x setting, especially if the board has an outdated BIOS version. This guide can help: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqKs9fekNNY

Hi, regarding the monitor, El Corte Inglés canceled my order (the price was actually very low, it must have been a mistake), so now I want to buy the MSI MP341CQW 34" LED UWQHD Curved. I'm just waiting for the price to drop a bit.
I hope to start assembling the desktop next week; I've already bought everything.
I don't think I'll need the internal USB hub because the motherboard has several internal USB ports but I will see.

Hello, how are you?
I managed to put the computer together on my own, which surprised me since I expected it to be harder. Everything seems to be working properly. The cable organization is quite poor.
I can see the BIOS but now I'm facing issues formatting the USB drive to update the BIOS and install Windows.
The pen doesn't format to FAT32 at all.
Could you please assist me?
Thank you in advance.
