In such scenarios, outside of highly demanding titles that utilize more than 2-4 cores—such as Cyberpunk—it should deliver performance comparable to the standard 12400. Even if it doesn’t match the regular 12400’s speed, it should significantly outperform your typical i5 CPU in CPU-heavy games. I suspect you’d have experienced major lag if you attempted Cyberpunk on your current setup. The 12400T would likely offer a much smoother experience.
