I'm using a decent but not top-of-the-line machine right now, and I still want to enjoy some games. Steam says ARK: Survival Evolved runs well at low to medium settings, but others might have different ideas. Since I’m used to playing in lower settings, I’m okay if it feels a bit slower. My specs are: Intel i3 3120m, Intel HD 4000 GPU, 8GB RAM at 1600 MHz, 750GB storage on WD black 2.5", and plenty of space for games.
I really question it—playing it on my system gave me just about 30 frames per second. ARK is one of the least optimized titles I've ever experienced.
just to put it simply, i'm getting smooth 32 frames per second with most high settings and reduced ground and sky details at 1080p. my system isn't a budget one—has a 5820k, 980 ti, and 32gb ram.
Absolutely, I understand. It seems you might need a specific GPU to proceed.
I understand you'd prefer a different approach, but let's try it on your laptop instead.
