The issue keeps happening whenever you start the game, causing a flicker and only 17 frames per second. Is there a solution to resolve this problem?

Lower specific adjustments. Vsync might be the issue. Possibly AA too.

I saw that turning on triple buffering in the NVIDIA control panel might lead to flickering issues. You could attempt reverting your driver settings as a solution.

I handled everything myself and triple buffering wasn't turned on...Looks like I'm not backing drivers for an old game. My friend who moved in had the same OS and NVIDIA drivers, but he didn't run into any problems. I really don't understand what's going on.
