Most users aren't really interested in Linux, and even those who do often face challenges. Windows 10 consumes minimal resources, making a noticeable benefit from Linux for tasks like mining unlikely.

Lubuntu remains quite problematic except for basic horizontal setups. Kubuntu didn’t recognize my GPU, Fedora caused issues, and I faced several problems across multiple displays. I had no time for arch-based solutions, so I switched to Windows 10 and installed it as usual at work.

Perhaps this needs adjustment.

Interestingly, it's the mining process that keeps me using Windows these days. MSI Afterburner lets me lower the voltages on my cards, cutting power use by more than 10%. So far, I haven’t discovered a suitable Linux option (though I’ve been pretty relaxed about searching).

disbelieving that Linux technology will ever gain widespread recognition, as it remains largely unnoticed.

Nvidia doesn't publicly share their graphics card details, making driver creation challenging.

It might happen when people don’t need to invest long hours to access basic features on Windows. I’d prefer switching if it eliminated the time spent trying to get things working properly. It often does. This trend is also common in server setups. LMG already runs on Linux in its videos, which makes sense from a practical investment perspective. Check out the various server videos and those using unRAID. Running benchmarks in Linux saves time since the user base is limited and the testing tools are constrained. Using just mining apps on your desktop will have minimal impact, especially considering the differences between Windows and Linux GPU drivers.
