The majority of games operate smoothly on Windows 10, alongside versions for 7, 8, and 8.1. Only titles built with DX12 or later ports will fully utilize DX12 technology.
Maybe the more relevant question is which games will work with dx-12. I believe it's mainly Windows 10 that will use dx-12. I'm skeptical about only games supporting it, though DICE is exploring this option. It's more likely they'll combine Vulkan and dx.
Other titles compatible with Windows 8 should work well on Windows 10. You can test them using the Windows 10 Insider Preview. For DirectX12 titles, expect delays before they appear. Upgrading to Windows 10 is free until the specified deadline. Give a few hours—this varies with your internet speed and device performance—before the cutoff to ensure smooth downloading, installation, and activation. Be aware that servers may be busy during the final week.
