you've just installed a new setup and are encountering boot issues. the system is detecting a failure, possibly because of mismatched bios settings with your hardware. previous configurations might not work now. try checking the bios compatibility or resetting the boot process if possible.

I haven't tried resetting the CMOS yet. Would you like me to do it for you?

I don't really want to interact with any hardware parts, just in case I damage the board because I don't have the funds for a replacement.

Inside the BIOS, if you access it, clearing the initial configurations performs the identical action.

Reverting the CMOS won’t damage your device. As long as you’re not doing a full BIOS update and the system stops working, it should work fine. The error about bios settings failing usually suggests resetting the BIOS to its original defaults—either through the BIOS menu option “Load optimized defaults” or by removing the battery while the computer isn’t plugged in. If you prefer not to handle this yourself or aren’t sure what steps to take, you’ll need a professional to assist you, which often involves payment.
