Hello everyone, this is a follow up post to a previous one I made. So I switched my motherboard from An asus rog strix b550-f gaming, because I was having ethernet issues. Everything else was fine. I switched to an MSI B550 Tomahawk, finished setting up my pc, and was greeted with a red cpu light. Everything else turns on, I just get no display. If I switch my NEW CPU to my OLD one, it works. I've tried updating bios to numerous and recommended versions by an msi support person, and nothing works. I've taken off cmos battery, connected the 2 pins to reset it, and nothing works. Everything turns on, my gpu, my cooler, my ram, I just get no display. System specs are listed below, and remember everything worked on my previous motherboard, I just had ethernet issues. I dont know if its the cpu or the motherboard, and I dont know what to do. My old CPU is a ryzen 5 2600 btw. I THINK its the Motherboard since if the cpu was damaged Id imagine nothing would turn on like the ram and such but I don't know. I'm sort of an amateur still. Ryzen 7 5800x 4X8 3600 Corsair 850 PSU Corsair 3070 TI MSI B550 Tomahawk

Check if another GPU works and see if a VBIO update is available for your GPU. Make sure you're using the most recent motherboard BIOS.

You installed your Ryzen 7 5800X on an older B450 motherboard, and it managed to boot, though it kept showing the "new CPU detected" message. This suggests the issue might lie with the motherboard itself rather than the CPU.

I tried running the test on my B450 and it worked. On my B550, the 5800X didn’t function while the 2600 did. Could the issue lie with the motherboard?

I can't directly access or generate screenshots from external devices like the 2600 on the B550. However, you can find the information you need by visiting online forums, hardware review sites, or checking the manufacturer's documentation for the B550 board. Let me know if you'd like help locating those resources!
