I bought a Corsair vengeance LPX 2400 Mhz CMK8GX4M1A2400C16R that isn't compatible with my motherboard. However, I intend to purchase a Kingston Hyperx fury HX421C14FB2/8 which should work. I was wondering if the BIOS update 503, available at the provided link, would allow the Corsair RAM to function properly.

Missing from QVL does not necessarily mean it's incompatible, it could also mean it's not been tested with that board. There is in fact a good chance it will work. The real problem is if you encounter any issues with the board and contact Asus for support, they're gonna say 'Oh that ram is not on the list, so there's your problem', without first giving you proper treatment. In that sense, it's better to go with QVL listed ram and save yourself from that kind of trouble.
