I’m looking into purchasing a Core i5 11600K, an MSI MPG Z490 gaming motherboard, and a motherboard. I need to confirm if the board comes with Rocket Lake pre-installed or if I’ll have to install it myself. Also, I want to know if updating the BIOS is possible without replacing the CPU, especially since this is my first build. Here’s the Amazon link you provided.

Ensure your BIOS was released in February or later. A board made around that period likely includes the newest version, which is usually true. You can't confirm the exact BIOS version, but most updates are about five months old or newer. If not, you may be able to return it.

I received a 11900KF for my Z490 Unify. It runs with the latest BIOS and functions properly, though memory overclocking isn't great. My 10600K could reach 4600 MHz, but this chip won't exceed 4350 in gear 2. This isn't directly related, but if you're focused on memory overclocking and purchasing now, I'd recommend the Z590. Its microcode is more optimized for the 11th generation, and it comes ready to use.
