Support for memory in Ryzen 3800X model
Hey there, just checking if this product would fit your Ryzen 3800X setup. The royal gold kit looks like it could match your build, but since most kits are out of stock in Australia, I’m curious how well it would perform with that processor. Let me know! Thanks!
Zen 2 handles memory more flexibly compared to Zen+ and Zen 1. If it supports an XMP profile, that's a plus.
Technically speaking, but this seems like a 3600 cl19 model. Honestly, it feels like a waste of money. For Zen 2, consider a cl16 3600 kit or a cl14/16 3200 kit. If you don’t already have the 3800x, go for a 3700x instead—it’s essentially the same thing.
QVL catalogs are merely a collection of companies ready to charge for certification. By default, RAM remains RAM unless your processor is a Zen 1.
they're pretty much ineffective, and mostly inaccurate because the vendor can't verify each component. In the worst case, you might need to make some adjustments and that's about it. Just like @Master Disaster mentioned, unless you have a powerful processor, even better ones, they tend to be more forgiving.
