I'm currently in the process of putting together a new PC and I seem to be have some issues finding memory that'll work good with my setup... I haven't built in a PC to this scale in quiet a few years and ill be honest, I've become sorta out of touch to the PC community for a long time. I've got a Ryzen 7 5800x with a Asus ROG Strix x570-E. Every set of memory I find that's in stock and in my price range isn't on Asus's QVL list for supported memory. The last PC I built I didn't pay attention to this (I didn't know any better at the time) and I could never get my Corsair Vengeance set to run at the correct speed using XMP. I don't really trust myself or know anything about manually overclocking memory and would rather just turn on XMP and have it work. What are the chances I can just get a set that isn't on the QVL list and it will still work at the correct speed? I'm looking at 32Gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz C16 ( CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 ). Any input on what memory I should use is welcome too. I have no idea what's good and want isn't anymore... Thanks
I found a single unit from G.Skill (model F4-3600C17Q-32GTZR) on the QVL list I was planning to purchase. I ordered it from Amazon, but it wasn’t available until mid-July... The market is really intense right now. Other similar sets I’ve seen cost over $400, which pushes my budget a bit too far. I’m already spending more than $2000 into this project, haha.
Which nation are you purchasing from and what is the quantity being acquired?
The QVL isn't as important now, though it still offers some value. The 64GB 4x16 bundle is also on sale for $225 if you need that capacity. A 32GB option will suffice for everyday use.
I believe this configuration will suit your needs. Comparing a 3200Mhz CL16 to a 3600Mhz CL18, they should perform similarly in terms of speed.
