I’m looking into using a USB-A to USB-A cable to link your dock to your PC. Since you’re on a budget, you could try connecting the dock directly to your computer via Ethernet and then use a USB adapter to extend that connection. This way, you’d keep the network setup intact without needing a new adapter.

According to @Captinjigglesworth, this should be fine. If you can't wait for delivery, you can visit Best Buy, Walmart, Target or any other retailer that sells electronics and pick one up. Most of these stores will match prices, so if they have the same item as Amazon and Amazon is cheaper, they'll match it. I’m aware BB does, I’m sure Walmart does, I’m sure Target has the “shop here to avoid Walmart tax,” so that might not be the case.

Definitely not feasible. Finding a USB A to A cable isn't practical—they don't really exist for a valid reason. Since both ports act as host controllers, they're seeking devices rather than connecting to another host controller. You'll need an adapter or rely on Wi-Fi instead.
