I have a networked HP Series 1000 printer connected to a Windows XP machine.
I aim to print to it using my Windows 10 laptop.
I attempted to use the instructions from the previous post in this thread, but the HP LaserJet 1100 MS driver isn't shown during a Windows update.

Is there an alternative driver I should try? When I installed the HP 3055 PCL 5 driver from a video, it displayed a test page but the rest of the output was incorrect.

Could you consider saving your work on a thumb drive and printing it using the XP computer?

You could depend on this assistance platform;
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/sel...ries/25470
select Windows NT, download
hp LaserJet 1100/1100A PCL 5e driver onto your computer, then right click the installer on your system>Properties>Compatibility>Windows Vista, then click apply>OK, then right click installer>Run as Administrator and check if the drivers install successfully.
Are you using an HP LaserJet 1100 MS...?

The download was an .exe file containing .dlls in a folder. Selecting one for my local port, as mentioned in the original post, indicated incompatibility with a 64-bit system. I'm unsure what action to take to make the driver appear for a 64-bit environment.

I used these printers but they stopped working. I received a "Printer error" with owner "Guest" on the machine that has the HP printer connected.
I configured a Virtualbox VM running XP Pro. When I choose a printer using its IP address and the printer name (\\192.168.1.20\hpLaserJet1000), the same error appears. I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Sorry to remind everyone back to XP but I don’t want to give up on this good printer.
