I need 32 GB of RAM. The two kits I found are 4x8 GB: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB for $219 and G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB for $266. The issue is: Can I combine two 2x8 kits? For instance, using Crucial Ballistix—someone warned me about it. Or should I opt for 2x16 GB instead? I also saw those options are much more affordable: TEAMGROUP T-Force Dark for 32 GB at $159. My main use is gaming, Photoshop, and web design.
Opt for 2x16 setup, it usually performs best. If a 3200mhz CL16 is more affordable, choose that—it delivers the same speed. Also, just a quick note: b550-f, it’s not an outstanding board.
If a 2x16GB option is significantly cheaper, consider it. The explanation is that memory channels are controlled by the motherboard, not your RAM. You could use two RAM sticks and place them in one channel, allowing the computer to run with a single-channel setup. Most motherboards support two memory channels. Therefore, the 2x16GB and 4x8GB versions wouldn’t noticeably affect performance. Go for the cheaper option unless you prefer filling all your slots for appearance reasons.

For the B550-A pro or B550 Aorus Elite. The B550-F offers relatively low VRMs, using SiC 639s in a 4x3+2 layout.
It seems either option would work. The A model is more affordable, while the Aorus offers additional capabilities.
