I have an ASRock B450 motherboard, and looking at the BIOS info online suggests it should work with a 5000 series Ryzen after an update. I shared a screenshot of the page. Would it really support full performance with a 5800X, rather than just limited compatibility? I've heard many people mention it being pushed to 2021 for B450 boards. It's something you'd likely handle without too much trouble if you tried it. A friend updated to a comparable BIOS and everything worked smoothly. The main concerns are running your old CPU (like the 2600) since those tend to cause problems with newer boards—such as failing to boot on certain SATA ports. If you were in your shoes, I’d go ahead and update to the latest chip; it should be fine. Any issues you encounter should usually get resolved within a month.
