I’m a high school student just starting out as a builder, and I’m planning to finish a project in a few months. I want to keep my investment safe and don’t want to lose everything I’ve earned from competitions. I’ve looked up some ideas online and will keep working until it’s done. My budget is about 2000 CAD or roughly 1400 USD. I’m not too concerned about performance since I’ll mostly play esports games like CS:GO and League, so I’m focusing on making my build stand out. Could you share any tips from experienced PC builders about color choices, component picks, lighting, or design ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you're aiming for a polished look, RGB is the perfect choice. People often refer to RGB fans, RGB cooler, RGB case, RGB motherboard, or RGB GPU. That makes sense. For other components, you'll likely need a cohesive color theme. Do you have a preferred shade or style in mind? Also, if you're focusing on the internal build, just the PC itself—without the monitor, keyboard, etc.—is what you're considering.

Typically, it's simple to locate components for white/black or red/black configurations. Other colors tend to be less common and costlier. Choosing one of these selections allows us to assist with your build.

Thank you, I'm not really an RGB enthusiast, but I'll take a black and red option as suggested by boggy77—it might look great.

For esports gaming, a high refresh rate monitor is highly recommended.
