The Deus Ex series offers a solid mix of FPS and RPG elements with an engaging story. The original and Human revolutions are decent when purchased during sales, though the fall and invisible war aren't as strong.

I've loved plenty of classics and popular titles: Tomb Raider (2013), Crysis 2 & 3, Bioshock Infinite, Half Life 2, Fallout 3, New Vegas, TES Skyrim, Far Cry 3 & 4, Metro: Last Light, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and many others...(based on your preferences)
