Hello,
I’m looking to purchase a laptop for extended daily use—over 12 hours, mainly for work tasks such as programming, managing virtual machines, handling multiple browser tabs, and using IDEs at the same time. Occasionally I play basic games on PS5 and use it for general tasks. The laptop must reliably handle simultaneous applications and environments without issues.

A long battery life and good portability would be ideal, though those aren’t the top priorities since it will stay mostly on a desk with an extra screen. I also prefer larger displays because they’re more comfortable, but anything around 15.6 inches would suffice for me.

After researching available options, I found three models that caught my attention. Based on the specifications, build quality, and durability, here’s what I’d suggest:
HP OMEN 16-b0013dx
Dell G15 5520
HP Victus 16-d1026ne

All feature strong processors, solid RAM options, and capable GPUs. The choice between them depends on whether you value the larger screen of the Victus or the compact design of the Omen. If you have other recommendations in a similar price range, I’d love to hear them.

Currently, I’m based in Egypt with a budget capped at around 1300 USD. We’re not very familiar with new laptops due to import restrictions and limited access to specialty electronics.

I’ve also considered Intel’s i7 series (11800H, 12650H, 12700H) as they are perceived to be more reliable, but there are reports that Ryzen CPUs (like the 5800, 6600, or 6800 series) offer better durability. It would be interesting to see how these compare in real-world use.
